Susan Ferguson
Director
Susan is a new arrival to the Early Learning Center, having started as director in June 2024. She was born on the Jersey Shore, but has spent all of her adult life in Northern Virginia after living in Washington, DC for college. She received her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and her graduate degree from George Mason University. She lives in Manassas with her husband of 26 years and Sparky the Dog. She has two adult children – her daughter is working on her early professional career and her son recently graduated college. In her free time she enjoys singing, cooking (and eating), and hiking. Her hope is to someday write a book about the fun adventures of working in a preschool!
Known as “Ms. Sue” to her students, she has over 20 years of experience in the education field. While serving in primarily volunteer roles while raising her children, once her children were grown she entered the classroom full time with a focus on faith-based preschool ministries. Her early childhood education experience includes leadership in programs serving both Fairfax and Prince William counties. She believes young children thrive in environments where they can be curious and are encouraged to discover the world around them. She finds true joy in the wonder of young children discovering that world. She is looking forward to meeting the Manassas Presbyterian ELC family and serving the needs of the community!
